1. Will my house plaque withstand the frost?
Your exterior plaque will be high-fired and will undergo a third process to make it able to withstand the severest weather conditions.
2. Are there any other house name and number designs available?
Your plaque will be individually made for you and the design hand-drawn and hand -painted: Essentially any image is possible and we can work from scratch according to your requirements, and/or draw on our own library of images.
3. Do you make any other plaque shapes?
Most images suit a round format. We can make you a round plaque any diameter from 8cms. to 38cms. Our oval plaque measures 20cms x 40cms.
4. How do I fix my plaque to the wall?
Your exterior plaque will be supplied to you with raw plugs and brass coloured screws. Fixing instructions are stamped on the reverse. Our interior plaques have a brass coloured fitting on the reverse so they may be hung up straight away.
5. Are the stated dimensions of the plaques and pots exact?
Every ceramic item from 'Lucienne de Mauny Ceramics" is fashioned by hand and so some slight variations in the stated dimensions are to be expected.
6. Can I put my pots in the oven?
You can use your pots in the oven: They are high-fired terracotta and are a traditional material for culinary purposes. Avoid fast and extreme changes of temperature eg: From the freezer to a 220C oven.
7. Can I put my pots in the dishwasher?
Yes, with the exception of the 'Terracotta Collection' you can put your pots in the dishwasher. We suggest you hand wash them for the first few uses and then 'dishwash' them. Please be aware that some dishwasher detergents are very harsh and that, over time, as with quality glassware, you will observe some wear on the high finish of our hand applied glazes.
8. Can I use my pots in the microwave?
We do not recommend cooking or continuous use of your pots in your microwave. Warming up your left over coffee should be fine.
9. Can you send my order to an overseas address?
