CLAY DAYS: 2010 to be announced.
Clay Days for children are:Creative day courses for boys and girls aged 8 - 15 yrs. investigating and making clay sculptures and pots. The aim of a 'Clay Day' is to provide the opportunity for each child to engage fully with the exciting medium of clay. The children are encouraged to play with the clay, to make clay structures following a few rules and to express themselves and their own ideas so that their finished piece has meaning for them: This is the heart of the creative process. The children select their own pieces for firing which are made available for collection at a later date. Meeting and working with the youngsters is a privilage for us and we are delighted that many have returned year on year.
Course organiser: Lucienne de Mauny, professional potter and qualified teacher. Cost of course: £33.50 (£29.00 for each additional child in the family) Times of course: 10.00 a.m. - 3.15 p.m. Children will need to bring a pack lunch and an apron.
